Car buffs digged deep for charity at the recent Pensacola Mega Car and Cycle Show, donating more than $4,000 to Escambia Westgate School.
Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan, along with Sheriff’s office staff Lt. Roger Grice and Louie Kemp, will present a check for $4313.60 to Principal Susan Berry of Escambia Westgate School on Friday.
Grice and Kemp raised the money through parking donations at the car show earlier this month.
Escambia Westgate's purpose is to ensure that each student's inherent capacity for growth is nurtured and developed, according to a press release. Westgate employs the Snoezelen Concept: a multi-sensory stimulation environment designed to improve the lives of children with severe physical, learning and sensory disabilities.

Escambia Westgate Principal Susan Berry is a liar. I have worked there and I can tell you that she does not even come around to visit the classes and could care less about the students. She is in it for the money and power. I wonder where all of the money for all of this is really going. Teachers don't see in and neither do the students. Snoozelen is rarely used and does not benefit all students. The students,like at many schools in this horrid low paying highly infested criminal county, are drugged out of there joy and wonder in order to sit all day and learn how to read and write when they are not capable of this in a realistic sense. They are expected to sit at their desks for hours in a stupor with tv or no stiumulation. THe are tied in chairs, held down if they have fits and some classes are given very little exercise or put outside to play in the dirt. Some teachers teach skills that will actually help them function in life but most will never read flently. More teachers are mean, controlling and turn on the tv to entertain them unless they know visitors are coming to see Snoozelen or tour the school. She fired a man for reporting seeing another worker slap a kid with Autism. She fired this person and made excused for the woman who hit the kids and dragged him by his hair and collar to time out. She said these kind of kids need a firm and tough hand. Then she told him he would not work out there. Then, she fired a teacher for hurting her arm by getting hit by a student. She also fired a pregnant teacher. Both are excellent teachers but didn't fit in with this mostly tight knit bunch of fat bitches that gossip about everyone behind their backs, spread lies and get off on controlling little people rather that really taking a personal interest in them as individuals and helping them learn skills.
